Pale Alison

is it really like you wanted?

FLASHBACK OUT NOW

Have you ever felt your expectations of someone turn out to be nothing but an illusion, with your hopes crumbling like sandcastles?

“Flashback” is about a feeling most of us know all too well - disappointment. The song captures a whirlwind of emotions - from longing and vulnerability to anger and eventual acceptance. Its progression mirrors this emotional journey, starting with a melancholic R&B vibe touched by classical motifs, and building up to a powerful, almost haunting breakdown driven by piercing extreme vocals.

OUR STORY

Pale Alison is a modern metal band from Estonia, formed in 2019. Fusing sharp, driving metalcore riffs with haunting vocal harmonies and immersive atmospheric textures, they craft a sound that’s both brutally heavy and emotionally resonant.

With two vocalists trading between clean and extreme styles, Pale Alison embodies a contrast of beauty and aggression - order and chaos, light and shadow. Their music explores melancholic melodies, complex rhythms, and unconventional tunings, pushing the boundaries of the metalcore genre with intelligence, honesty, and a progressive edge.

In 2024, their single “Summer’s Melody Slows Its Pace” was named Hit of the Year by RockFM Radio, and the EP “Novojezabytoe” introduced fans to a bolder fusion of metal and vibrant electronic elements.

Drawing inspiration from bands like Spiritbox, Northlane, and Tesseract, Pale Alison has established itself in the melodic modern metal genre with its recent releases “Bipolarity” and “Flashback”.

Listen

bipolarity

Directed by Luka Dzidzadze & Daniil Volotskoi, 2024

The lyrics of the song take the listener on a complex inner journey, where the main character struggles with his dual nature - between the desire for freedom and the attraction to chaos, which destroys him, but at the same time fills him with life. This is a struggle for control over his "I", which becomes a metaphor for the mental, emotional and spiritual state.

It is this concept of dual nature that became the basis for Pale Alison's unique image - the depiction of two completely different vocalists who embody freedom and chaos.

Toska

Directed by Alex Lev, 2023

The track is part of the self-titled album "Toska," released in 2022.

Anxiety or longing represents a creative dead end - a futile escape from oneself that leads to unbearable pain. The protagonist is a writer who cannot find inspiration for a new work. Desperate and hopeless, he clings to creativity as his last chance for salvation. However, he begins to feel as his own thoughts are pursuing him. In the end, his only option is to flee - to escape from himself.
